AT THE END OF SPRING
2025

2025. 3’, 16mm, stereo sound
Descriptive
Last Summer, I asked my mother: How can one live past traumatic and violent experiences? She wrote to me throughout the seasons. Once she said:
“With the bread recipe I learned that everything that grows needs time and silence. That yeast is invisible but works miracles. That the right heat transforms raw dough into something that feeds you. And that there is beauty in waiting.”
'At the end of spring' is a short scream on the violence of the spring we witness. It recollects images of the rose blossom - the final bloom of springtime at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
This piece is part of a series of multidisciplinary works Isadora developed throughout the spring of 2025 and was developed during her residency at Mono no Aware.
