ARCHIVES OF THE EARTH is a site-specific research performance that involves simultaneous on-site printmaking and text writing on volcanic landscapes. The zine featured in Corrispondenze “Archive” is the outcome of a research on the 2023 eruptions of the Reykjanes peninsula through a collaborative design and writing-researching practices workshop led by Christoph Matt & Isadora Alves with a group of students in Sweden and Iceland.
Crafted from discarded materials and found objects, this publication presents itself as an experimental notebook delving into the possibilities and significance of contemporary landscape archiving.
